"Tarika" is an old Persian word that means "the way."
I'm told that literally translated it means "little girl star" -- and,
of course, for thousands and thousands of years it was the stars that showed
the way. For me, Tarika is a centering process, a seeking
of a serenity that will allow us to take innumerable shapes -- just as
the potter must do with the clay before it will take shape -- the opposite
of "torn-to-pieces-hood," which is so prevalent in today's society. Welcome
to Tarika
"...Centering is my theme: how we may seek to bring universe into a
personal wholeness, and into act the rich life which moves so mysteriously
and decisively in our bodies, manifesting in speech and gesture, materializing
as force in the world the unifying energy of our perceptions." -- from
